In Vitro Fertilization (IVF)
In vitro fertilization, or IVF is a method of infertility treatment in which the man’s sperm and the woman’s eggs are combined outside of the body. The resulting embryo is transferred into the woman’s body.
Intrauterine Insemination (IUI)
(IUI) is a fertility treatment where sperm are placed directly into a woman’s uterus.
IUI is a fertility treatment where sperm are placed directly into a woman’s uterus. Sperm are “washed” and concentrated, and also placed directly into the uterus, which puts them closer to the egg. For more details consult your doctor.
Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI)
During ICSI, a single sperm is injected directly into the cytoplasm the woman’s egg using a special lab machine/equipment (micromanupilator). Once fertilization occurs, the fertilized egg (now called an embryo) grows in our fertility laboratory (with conditions which mimic conditions like the one in the fallopian tube) for 1 to 5 days before it is transferred to the womb. The procedure of transferring embryo(s) is called embryo transfer and a special catheter is used to transfer the embryo(s). The pregnancy test will be done after 2 weeks from the day of transfer.
The ICSI procedure is usually recommended for couples who have a low sperm count, previous failed fertilization or a repeated IVF failure.
Ovarian Rejuvenation Therapy (ORT)
Ovarian Rejuvenation Therapy (ORT) is a medical treatment aimed at revitalizing ovarian function in women, particularly those experiencing infertility or menopause symptoms.
How does ORT work?
1. Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) extraction: A small sample of blood is drawn from the patient, and PRP is extracted through centrifugation.
2. Activation of growth factors: The PRP is then activated to release growth factors, which stimulate cellular regeneration.
3. Ovarian injection: The activated PRP is injected into the ovaries under ultrasound guidance.
4. Stimulation of ovarian function: The growth factors stimulate the ovaries, potentially increasing egg production, improving egg quality, and enhancing hormonal balance.
